Prior experience with modeling and/or numerical simulations relevant to high temperature gas flows, hypersonic flows, turbulence, kinetic theory, radiation, nonequilibrium phenomena or gas-surface interactions is desirable. Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent degree in mathematics or applied mathematics, engineering (aerospace, mechanical, chemical), physics, chemistry, or related fields. Responsibilities will include basic research in nonequilibrium energy transfer mechanisms in high temperature gas flows, along with CFD code development for high performance computing.
Individuals interested in pursuing this position can send a full CV to Dr. Jonathan Burt (via e-mail:jonathanburt@oai.org). Review of applications will begin with immediate effect and will continue until the job opening is filled.
